TURKEY SHOOT 2010:

This wasn't the biggest Turkey Shoot we ever had,
but I think everyone who came had a great time.

As always, we started out with the kids, and there
smiles speak for themselves. This year we had so
many new kids shooting, I think the parents were
kind of wondering what they got there kids into, but
when they saw the kids winning chances for a
turkey doing other activities other than shooting,
they realized there is a method to our madness.

It's called having fun, at "The FUN PLACE in ARCHERY"
Usually when the kids start shooting for Turkeys,
it takes a few rounds to see who is winning the
Turkey, but this night was different. When Hailey
Fridd (below) let go of her first arrow, the contest was
over.

Over to the left, the kids with sights were also
competing for a turkey, and Lennon Green's (below)
first arrow found the mark and was a winner.
Meanwhile the cheerleaders (quiet parents) were
having cider and eating Marcia's brownies and
pounding cookies.

Not long after that Caleb Fridd, (below) Hailey's
brother won his turkey. Then we had a competition
between the Sweet Potatoes and the Hot Muffins
and the three Sweet Potatoes won a free ticket for
the Turkey Shoot.

Then Lauren Goodrich (below) won her turkey with
a nice shot, just a little below dead center.

Lennon Green, had a night where he just couldn't
miss. I think he might be Robin Hood reincarnated.

Above Justin Harris (above) is bringing home his
Thanksgiving turkey.

Then Lauren got her second turkey. LIFE IS GOOD!

We have a three turkey limit per shooter, which
Lennon didn't know about, but when he would win
a turkey he would say, "I'm going to donate it back
so some of the other kids can win". Don't you wish
all the kids had those kind of values.

The last youth turkey was won by Hailey which was
her second turkey, with a shoot off that went on
forever and ended up being the closest arrow to the
winning circle on the turkeys head. Lauren is
presenting her with her turkey.

Then it was time for the adults. Like the kids, the adult
attendance was way off, but everyone who came had
a good time and won something.

Matt and Amanda MacDonald came out for the evening
and the first round the Matt'ster took the bird.

It wouldn't be a turkey shoot without Travis Christ
(above) being here and winning his turkey.

We had our traditional FREE shoot off for a turkey
using Genesis Bows which was eventually won
by Austyn Snyder. Everyone went home with full
bellies and,
LIFE IS GOOD !
