CREEKWOOD ARCHERY
SHOOTER SCHOOL
WITH
KELLY WARD
Kelly Ward has been competing in archery since she
was ten years old. She is the third generation female in her family to
make archery a major part of her life. Her grandmother quit shooting a
bow about three years ago. She is one of the current female pros on the
IBO, ASA and Indoor Pro Circuit. If there is a big national Pro
Event you will find Kelly’s name on the entry list. Over the last three
years Kelly has averaged $40,000.00 income per year shooting her bow and
she is going to come to Creekwood to teach you what she knows.
Some of her accomplishments include; silver metal
in the 2000 great outdoor games, 2003 ASA shooter of the year, IBO
Manufacture champion 2002, 2003, 2004, top 5 NFAA indoor tour finishes 3
years running. Many numerous national 3-D titles over the past 5 years.
She not only is a great shooter, she is a wonderful ambassador in the
archery world, willing to share her knowledge with anyone who is willing
to learn. She is a lady but she also is a person who stood at full draw
on a 3D target in water half way up her thighs with a four to five foot
poisonous snake swimming between her and the target this year in myrtle
breach. This is a serious woman when it comes to commitment in her sport
of archery.
We met Kelly at a Trade Show four years ago. I was
on the edge of my seat routing for her to win the huge Outdoor Shoot
they had three years ago in Lake Placid. She had it all wrapped up,
first place until it rained on the third day and her feathered arrows
couldn’t correct her arrow flight wet. Second wasn’t bad considering she
gave one entire event away. In Lake Placid she was competing against all
the men too.
This year Kelly came to Creekwood the week before
the Nationals in Kentucky. She owns a large printing business with over
seventy employees and was in Rochester being trained to run her new
printing press she had purchased. That week she shot at our shop five
days. She shot our Thursday 300 League, she worked with the kids in our
States Program, she helped one of our new shooters a lot and ended up
giving that person a free rest like she shoots. She fell in love with
Creekwood and wrote us up on Archery Talk on the internet. Kelly Ward is
real people.
I asked her if she would be interested in doing a
shooter for us and she said; "No one would be interested in listening to
a women". I told her, I disagree, you have the credentials, and you are
a current winner in archery as opposed to most school instructors who
have the credentials but earned them many years ago. I asked her to give
it some more thought and get back to us. Two weeks later she called and
we started making the plans for the school. We have spent thousands of
dollars on shooter schools and I can tell you, we are very excited about
this one.

both days for the school. She was concerned about our loss of income
being closed and we told her that is part of the cost of doing business.
For an event as important and special as this is we don’t want any
interruptions. This is a special lady, giving a special school, for some
special customers. LIFE IS GOOD !

Our SHOOTER SCHOOL July
23rd and 24th was a total success. We were totally
sold out. We ended up with 14 youth as one was a no-show and we ended up
with 16 in the adult school because we can't count right. If you ever
get a chance to go to a
Kelly Ward "DA BOMB"
Shooter School CONSIDER
YOURSELF FORTUNATE. Kelly is the most down to earth, keep it
simple, cover everything, common sensed person in archery. Her demeanor,
and people skills just fit everyone. She taught kids, adults, brand new
and veteran shooters, doctors, FBI people, construction people and not
one person was dissatisfied. WHAT
A SUPER SCHOOL.

Shooter School
Up-Date - I, Ben Adams shot my first
300 (perfect) score in over 16 years, four days
after the school in our 300 league. Thanks Kelly "Da Bomb", you are
special. What you showed me with my shoulder did the trick, so I did it
for both of us. YOU ARE SPECIAL with your Black
Cherry equipment !
