POPE & YOUNG BUCK
On the rainy
October day while I was celebrating my birthday, Zachery 18 years old,
who never hunts in the rain, decided to go bowhunting after work. It is a
decision he
probably will never be able to top.

One of my customers sent me an
article out of The Daily News dated October 7th.
WOW ! What a dandy.

Eighteen years old and to harvest a
mature BUCK like this is a dream of a lifetime.
As the article said, he wasn't having a very good day. When he got to his stand
there was
a problem with it which he had to fix.

After in it for a while there seemed
to be does everywhere. Then he saw a buck, then
another two, and when one lifted his head he couldn't believe his eyes. They
were about
45 yards away. Zachery has been hunting with dad Mike since he was twelve. His
dad
taught him everything he could about hunting and using this knowledge he was
able to
maintain his cool and get the job done. The shot was 25 yards. The BUCK went
about
50 yards and Zachery saw him go down for a dirt nap. The BUCK has an 18" spread
and the
bases are 6 1/2". Green score of 180" plus. After the drying 60 day period this
buck has a
good chance of being in the NYS top 10 record book. Zachery was hunting in the
swamps
of Albion Road in Oakfield.
LIFE IS GOOD !
