Joe was hunting in Greece NY with his uncle Vinnie, and actually in uncle Vinny's
stand when he took his 1st Bow BUCK.
Over the early bow season Joe got out about ten times. Over this season he had a 6
point and a 8 point that he drew on but couldn't get the shot he wanted. He kept trying
to stop them with his voice and neither buck did anything when hearing Joe's voice.
He just couldn't stop them.
For a 13 year old, this young man has a lot of self control. I was very impressed with
him and of course so was his dad.
This was Joe's first year bowhunting and this is his first bow buck. Joe had been
in his uncles stand for about two hours when he first saw this buck. Joe watched the
buck for about 2 minutes before he took his 27 yard shot. It was 4:15pm and the BUCK
was taken with a Rage broadhead. Joe thought he hit him to far back, probably a liver
shot, so Joe and uncle Vinny decided to back out and come back the next day. Joe said
when he made the shot he was cool as a cucumber, but right after the shot he was
shaking uncontrollably. The next day they found the 8 Point and figured he had gone
about 150 yards. Joe's arrow was broken into 3 pieces. If you meet this young man you
will think your talking to someone quite a bit older.
