DOE (All I have is the picture)
Jeremy is quite a guy. He was in my NYS Bowhunter Class this year.
On the 2nd day of class he showed up with two dozen donuts & two boxes
of donut holes for the class. Hence I have dubbed him Donut Man.
Well on his 1st year of bowhunting, his 1st day of bowhunting, in the
1st 15 minutes of bowhunting Jeremy harvested his first deer with a bow.
LIFE IS GOOD ! Jeremy was hunting in Kendall NY. The shot was 15 yards
and the OE went about 40 yards. He was using a 100 grain PhatHead fixed
blade broadhead which did the job nicely.
Jeremy had his stand about 15' high and it was in between where the
DOE was and where she wanted to go. Jeremy thought she was looking at
him which is normal for a new bowhunter. She turned around and went
back where she came from. Jeremy thought it was over, but she came
back. A 2nd time there was a repeat scenario. The 3rd time she came back
Jeremy took the shot.
He was so excited he forgot he was in the deer contest, so all i have
is the picture he sent me. When he remembered the contest the DOE was
already cut up at the processor. The DOE may get him $10.00 in the blind
drawing. Time will tell, but I have a feeling I will see Jeremy before gun
season starts.
