Shane and his bride Kim have been Creekwood regulars
for years. Way back when the two of them shot in our
Couples League. The next I knew they had three Labrador
Retrievers which the sun rose and set over.
Then the guy sitting on Shane's knee came along and all
the other important things just melted away. This picture
means a lot to Shane and his bride, but when Shane's dad,
Tom see's it, I think it will be really special. Shane was
hunting west of Lyndonville, NY when he harvested this
doe at 4:40 pm. It was a 10 yard shot and she only made it
40 yards. He was of course hunting with his Elite bow and
shooting SpitFire XP broadheads. When Shane came in to
weigh it I was out back hunting, so I didn't get much of the
story. Shane is a very serious hunter, trained by his dad
and I'm sure all dad's training will be carried on when the
youngster gets old enough to hunt.
