Yes, Jeff is Ron Coyle's son and he loves to hunt whitetails
just as his dad did. Jeff & JoJo, his wife, have shot a league at
Creekwood for the last couple years. A few years back Jeff
started hunting whitetails in Iowa and it has spoiled him. Seeing
bucks in the 190" class and above has changed the way he thinks
about whitetails here in NY. Jeff is on to real nice bucks here
in NY, but not anything compared to what he sees out in Iowa.
Jeff took this buck in Carlton, NY with a NAP Thunderhead
broadhead. He had a 19 yard shot and the buck only went
about 90 yards as the crow flies, however in elevation it was
200 yards downhill. JoJo, Jeffs wife helped him get it out of
the gully. They both got soaked in the creek, The bucks horns
got caught hauling the buck uphill and flipped his wheeler.
Never the less, there is going to be a good sounding sizzle in
their frying pan. Robinhood over there in Sherwood Forest
sure had a good thing going. Venison is food for the gods. I
hope when JoJo & Jeff go to Iowa he gets a poke at one of
those big boys. Stay tuned.
