MONSTER BULL ELK
UTAH MUZZLELOADER
For those of you getting a little long in the tooth, here
is a story that will get your motor running. Mike had
been putting in to draw an Elk Tag in Utah for over
15 years. After all these years of trying he finally drew
his tag. Now it was time to get into shape for the elk
hunt of his life. The first year Mike put in for the tag he
could have run up and down the hills after his bull. 15
years later, the hunt of his life was looking like a
challenge. In the end, Mike like everything else in his
life, got the job done. Yes he worked out, yes on the
hunt, he had some doubts, but when the moment of
truth came, a dirt nap was in order for an absolute
magnificent animal. His son Mike Jr in the pictures was
a huge help to his dad on the hunt. I think these
What a MONSTER BULL! Mike would have liked an
archery tag over a muzzleloader tag, but just to draw
any tag is a treasure. The 50 yard shot he made could
have been a gimmy for Mike with his bow. He was a
money winner in our 60, 50, 40 yard BEST BUTT shoot
in 2011.
