At Creekwood Archery we have this deer contest every year. It is devided
into two sections: Adult 19 & Up, and Young Adult 14 to 18. There are 9
winners in each section. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Biggest Rack, Heaviest
Weight Buck and Heaviest Weight Doe. We also draw 4 names out of a hat
for people who entered a deer, but didn't make the Winner Board. WHAT
YOUR LOOKING AT BELOW IS THE FIRST PLACE WINNER IN THE
HEAVIEST DOE, YOUNG ADULT DEVISION. That is one proud young lady.
Laura has been comming to Creekwood for years, when her dad has
brought deer in to enter the contest. She has never been here when
she hasn't made a comment like; "I can't wait till I'm old enough to
hunt". Well guess what, she is. Mom, dad and her fried all are looking
pretty proud of her.
Laura was hunting in Sweden, NY and she was using a 100 grain
Thunderhead broadhead. Her shot was ten yards and the doe only
went 75 yards.
LIFE IS GOOD !
Especially when you come in and pick up the
cabbage.
